James J. Muzzi

James J. Muzzi, 86, of Whiting passed away October 30, 2018 at home. James worked as an installer for New Jersey Bell, Monmouth County for 36 years before retiring in 1994. Born and raised in Long Branch, he lived in Neptune before moving to Whiting 26 years ago. James was a Navy Veteran during the Korean War. James was a member of Gambler Ridge Golf Course, Cream Ridge and served as past President of Crestwood Village I Golf Club, Whiting for 12 years. James was predeceased by his brother Domonic Muzzi in 2017. James is survived by his loving and devoted wife Jacqueline of 62 years, 4 daughters Cheryl Bernokeis of Fort Myers, FL, Cathy Muzzi, Cindy Muzzi both of Whiting, Carol Simone of Belmar, 2 sisters Mary Ann Martin of Oceanport, Janet Stonehan of Long Branch, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews with whom he enjoyed watching grow up & spent so many happy hours with. He loved golfing with the Long Branch guys and they had many stories and laughs with their friend Sonny. Interment 2:30pm Monday November 5, 2018 at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown.
